2.0 is an upcoming Indian science fiction action thriller film written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by A. Subaskaran. The film serves as a spiritual successor to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, and features Rajinikanthreprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. With an estimated budget of ₹543 crore, it is the most expensive Indian film made to date.
The film is shot in Tamil language and will be released in 14 other languages with dubbed versions. A teaser of the film was released on 13 September 2018, followed by a trailer which released on November 3. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 29 November 2018.
